Thread: OpenSSH / SFTP / UMASK / Chroot
hi all, im having real bad time trying configure sftp server jails users there home directory , set everyones default file permission upload 750.
everything have googled far has suggested known bug , cannot resolved? surely not?
- i have latest ubuntu server installed
- i have latest openssh installed
- i have followed instructions chroot sftp using simple guide - http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1057657
- users can connect without problems whatsoever there default permissions when uploading files rw-r--r-- not want.
- there doesnt seem entry umask in sshd_config?
- i have tried adding umask *** /etc/init.d/ssh seems change values of rw-r--r-- seems whatever remove permissions if makes sense? never got more 4 letters in permissions?
have solution? or can point me in right direction?

nevermind. after reading comments, won't work jail. not bug, missing feature in openssh.
