i don't know ubuntu , bash i'll try explain problem.

since yesterday, have been unable boot. use both ubuntu 9.10 , windows vista on 1 laptop. (i use vista when there's problem ubuntu.) installed ubuntu wubi , have been using on year now.
everytime start computer , choose ubuntu, doesn't boot ubuntu instead, shows black command screen white letters. these letters give me lot of numbers etc. , says "minimal bash command possible." says "grub>" tried type in things. tried "boot" , reacted with: "in order boot, must first load kernel." tried: "load kernel" said: command not found. tried pushing esc. brought me menu choose 9 options. 1 "boot halt". when selected this, showed "booting halt..." minutes , minutes doing absolutely nothing @ all. had commandline, brought me was, , large number of commands started find , ended /menu.lst. (find /ubuntu/drivers/grub/menu.lst, find /ubuntu/install/grub/menu.lst etc. etc) when tried this, said: error: file not found.
think problem started 1 time when out of battery power while booting normally.

looks grub bootloader can't find config file. because of wubi i'm not sure file placed.

Indesign and MathType fonts

i having trouble getting indesign recognize mathtype fonts.  have been told move mathtype fonts on 2 indesign font folder.  copied mt-extra font file mathtype folder , pasted indesign font folder.  nothing changed.  indesign still gives me blank box after copy mt-extra font mathtype -->illustrator-->indesign.   guess need instructions on how transfer of fonts done correctly.  i'v looked @ install fonts manual indesign, not clear me on how it.  need utility fontexplorer this, or there other way.  what's weird working fine until had reinstall osx , reinstall cs3, font trouble started.  need toggle "activate-reactivate' adobe cs3 , don't know how close 20 max on this, worried that.  (i suspect because of note on forum might necessary).  thoughts appreciated. i'm using windows, advice may worth nothing...   1) shouldn't have deactivate id recognize fonts. 2) design science gives fonts away in type 1 , truetype flavors....
