Thread: Problem booting from the liveusb

my liveusb's don't boot on intel d510mo motherboard. gives message: boot error.

if install full os on usb stick, grub on mbr, works fine, think problem mbr. bios seems require active mbr boot device. i've installed mbr on usb stick "sudo install-mbr /dev/sdb" , boot error "mbr:" i've tried activate mbr through "sudo fdisk /dev/sdb" , "a" nothing changed.

it's not problem usb stick, i've tried 2 usb sticks, same problem , on other pc's boot fine. don't have odd on pc. i've updated bios problem persists.

this guy has same problem.

i think might need update d510mo bios. had problem booting ubuntu off usb , think fixed it. don't need bootable usb update bios (even though manual makes do). put bios file on usb stick , boot selecting bios update. (might have been pxe boot needed bios update; can't remember now, worth try if haven't got going yet).
