Thread: ATI Xgl missing, troubles with compiz


i following output when run compiz:

after quits out , reverts metacity. running

skip_checks="yes" compiz --replace

seems me compiz running fine. there no xserver-xgl in repo.

and fglrx seems 2.8.660 (installed repo). minimal install , i've found ubuntu seems sloppy dependencies, it's possible i'm missing basic hidden because it's in ubuntu-desktop package.

you don't want/need xgl. make sure have compiz-gnome package.
