Maximal current for DC input?
so i've read through couple of sites , recommend 12v 2a power supply. (dc input)
my power supply 12v 5a power supply though. (dc input well)
i want use project https://learn.adafruit.com/rgb-led-strips/usage.
so can plug in dc power supply 12v , 5 amps in arduino uno?
or have plug in breadboard leds , use usb supply power arduino?
i know that's question i've started , don't want freight right away.
thanks!

ugh. adafruit uses f**ing breadboard diagrams.
first of all, breadboard testing. run 1 or ten led's off that. you're suggesting might run 2-5 amps through breadboard? not idea. melt breadboard. not mention safety issue of large currents on unsecured wires.
how many leds? how current consume? power supply @ least current, twice number.
you can run arduino off same 12v supply can't have else running on arduino's 5v pin. no lcds backlights or other leds.
