Measuring battery load and charge
measuring battery load , charge
i did post questions in sensors section of forum, did not traction. i'm hoping section better place such questions. here go:
is there simple way read battery load arduino? read other posts, , appears options are:
1. shift voltage resistor divider between 0 , 3.3v (or 5v)
2. use op-amp shifted , possible scaled output
here schematic of want do:

please note voltage drop on shunt 500mv @ 500a current.
it flow battery (+) when charger on, or out of battery (-) when load on
question 1: if use method 1, disturb reading of existing meter?
question 2: if need use method 2, op-amp part , schematic should use?

it not clear mean "battery load".
if want measure current draw, need current sensor. these work great.
if want monitor battery voltage, need resistive voltage divider. voltage won't mean if have charger connected, , battery @ same time discharging through load.
