Thread: Automatically set cpu scaling

i have been looking across internet (seemingly) simple thing. laptop automatically switch set frequency (or power profile, ie ondemand, powersave etc.) depending on power source. ideally think matter of inserting proper line of code in right place, have no clue put it. have decent idea of suggestions aways welcome. thanks!

it isn't simple. depends on cpu , motherboard's bios. function, if exists in cpu , supported motherboard's bios, handled apmd (power mgmt) , acpid.
