hey guys finished writing blog post , think have included cool necessary applications ? me adding more useful stuff (sorry bad english)

sorry guys dont update much, stuck university in iran, funny fail courses bad scores , guys dont know thing comptuer best scores okay enough nagging let read newest article !

having windows xp, windows vista, windows 7 , ubuntu 8.04 , ubuntu 9.10 on 2 hard disks , has made me expertise in facing kind of problem dual booting (i guess should quad booting) .

had written article grub 3 years ago , still receive emails saying "thank saved ***".

here want introduce links , applications save more *****

warning : these list items not steps , don't them blindly 1 after another, these seprate solutions seprate problems .

* first of grub 2 tutorial on forum great reference !

* if deleted 1 of partitions , partition table became invalid try
testdisk

* idea see list of partitions in ubuntu (you can boot ubuntu live cd)

sudo fdisk -l

in results can see bootable partition marked * , see official name (the name computer knows them by)
i.e :

/dev/sdb2 * 5043 9562 36306900 7 hpfs/ntfs

tells me sdb2 (the second partion of b hard disk bootable , filesystem ntfs) , address /dev/sdb2

* if deleted windows bootloader . (in case deleted first partition of windows hard disk) , windows mbr gone, can restore using ubuntu live cd

sudo apt-get install lilo
sudo lilo -m /dev/sda mbr


replace sda hard disk ,for i.e if want restore windows mbr of second hard disk :

sudo lilo -m /dev/sdb mbr

*

partition magic 8.1 bootable cd available on torrents , can search , download if legal in country . (i can't give direct link can search in torrentz )

* gparted live cd open source clone of partition magic .

* systemrescuecd great linux live cd , tons of things , partion-ing cloning , repairing more !

* there russian windows live cds useful , find them on torrentz @ own legal risk (becareful fake virus ones too)

* make grub menu beautiful , can try start manager

update : added gparted :

in gparted can , right click on partition want click on "manage flags" can make partition bootable marking boot flag.

Indesign and MathType fonts

i having trouble getting indesign recognize mathtype fonts.  have been told move mathtype fonts on 2 indesign font folder.  copied mt-extra font file mathtype folder , pasted indesign font folder.  nothing changed.  indesign still gives me blank box after copy mt-extra font mathtype -->illustrator-->indesign.   guess need instructions on how transfer of fonts done correctly.  i'v looked @ install fonts manual indesign, not clear me on how it.  need utility fontexplorer this, or there other way.  what's weird working fine until had reinstall osx , reinstall cs3, font trouble started.  need toggle "activate-reactivate' adobe cs3 , don't know how close 20 max on this, worried that.  (i suspect because of note on forum might necessary).  thoughts appreciated. i'm using windows, advice may worth nothing...   1) shouldn't have deactivate id recognize fonts. 2) design science gives fonts away in type 1 , truetype flavors....
