Thread: My keyboard and mouse will not work once I get to the login screen

i have logitech wave keyboard , mouse computer. not sure version of ubuntu running on think 6.10. when boot computer can go bios , earlier today let me press escape seee operating systems boot. no longer lets me see operating system have (which why cant version of ubuntu have). takes me log in page , asks username , password cant type , cant move mouse. earlier use alt+f1-f12, no longer working either sits @ login page , nothing works @ all. computer having problem old proteva , when opened actual computer processor says:

know bio's old ubuntu run because @ startup says that: "acpi : bios age (1998 ) fails cutoff (2000), acpi=force required enable acpi" says that: "acpi : unable load system description tables."
have'nt used computer year or two, last time used it worked fine. have been seeing questions on forums similar mine, problems on other versions of ubuntu , mouse's said work fine. cant try of solutions problems have read because cant open prompt when @ log in screen , press f2. have no idea do. know how can fix problem?

usb mouse , keyboard? if sounds need enable along lines of "usb legacy keyboard support" , "usb legacy mouse support" in bios. if have ps2 (i think that's name of other connection), mouse/keyboard can give go. don't understand naming (i prefer usb other one), there ps2 usb converters (i.e. plug usb mouse ps2 port on board). let know if helps.

on unrelated note i'm excited give bluetooth mouse/keyboard try in next week or so.

Indesign and MathType fonts

i having trouble getting indesign recognize mathtype fonts.  have been told move mathtype fonts on 2 indesign font folder.  copied mt-extra font file mathtype folder , pasted indesign font folder.  nothing changed.  indesign still gives me blank box after copy mt-extra font mathtype -->illustrator-->indesign.   guess need instructions on how transfer of fonts done correctly.  i'v looked @ install fonts manual indesign, not clear me on how it.  need utility fontexplorer this, or there other way.  what's weird working fine until had reinstall osx , reinstall cs3, font trouble started.  need toggle "activate-reactivate' adobe cs3 , don't know how close 20 max on this, worried that.  (i suspect because of note on forum might necessary).  thoughts appreciated. i'm using windows, advice may worth nothing...   1) shouldn't have deactivate id recognize fonts. 2) design science gives fonts away in type 1 , truetype flavors....
