Car underglow

          thinking of putting underglow on car. because want overcomplicate it, i'm looking controller myself. hoping have couple main modes, other modes show off. wanted mode cycle through colors beat of music, , 1 mode driving. in state, can have underglow long light visible front white , red. planning on having driving mode have front white , dim lites, , have stay dim red, bright tail lights, , 1 side flash blinker. i'm planning on using sparkfun spectrum shield gather info music.
          questions are:
1. idea?
2. how hard be?
3. arduino should use? (guessing mega, if want use obd ii shield have enough pins)
4. how hard addressable leds work with?

          have done fair amount arduino, in no way consider myself wizard (i bits other people's code , make work me.)

i 4. hardest part getting power leds, car has 12 14.5 volts , have down 5v @ lot of amps.

they same project don't need many pins, go uno.

very simple. set values in array , call function ships out leds. each strip of leds needs 1 pin.
