Thread: linux in university

i've been on-and-off ubuntu on past 4 or 5 years. i've dualbooted between windows , few distrobutions of linux, it's new semester , windows-only laptop had been getting increasingly slow, buckled down , reformatted 9.04.

problem professor of 1 of information science classes insists on students using windows , applications. now, that's not big of problem me, have computer , uni library available, it's principle of thing! furthermore, second year in college , i've heard 1 mention of linux in class- in comparison windows in security. else's university this? there wonderful college somewhere in new york that's home linux geeks everywhere?

this second year in college , i've heard 1 mention of linux in class- in comparison windows in security

that's odd.
i'm in third year now, , software development, security, , networking modules used linux on of them work. basis being it's better os these 3 modules.
heck, @ moment we're using nessus find , abuse exploits in networks =p.

i'd come uni, i'm in england >.> (university of essex)
