Thread: config ideas for MythBE/NAS + Myth/XBMC/Boxee FE

myth back-end + nas (already own parts; cept 3x 1/1.5tb hdd)
machine video capturing/transcoding.
backup server/nas....

1x old lian-li midi-tower or chen mei ft
1x gigabyte 8600gts .................................... [take transcoding load off cpu w/vdpau or def. not doable?]
1x hauppauge hvr-2200 .................................. [may add 2nd one]
1x ga-p35-dq6 (atx form-factor)
1x twin2x4096-8500c5df ................................. [2x2gb ddr2 1066; 4gb enough?]
1x core2duo (conroe) e6420 2.13ghz ..................... [may underclock/volt slightly?]
1x antec true power 3.0 650w ........................... [less wattage possible?]
storage sub-sys:
1x 1tb wd black ........................................ [video capture disk, can handle 4 simultaneous hd streams?]
1x 150gb 10k rpm raptor ................................. [boot/system volume?]
3x 1/1.5tb 7.2k rpm hdd ....................... [for content storage & bu, may not bother w/raid till hw controller?]

back-end thinking of doing minimal ubuntu install & adding needed.
front-end thinking of starting same way , gradually adding mythtvfe, xbmc, , maybe lightweight de crunchbang etc.
interested in peoples thoughts on i'm missing hardware or software wise or general advice.

Indesign and MathType fonts

i having trouble getting indesign recognize mathtype fonts.  have been told move mathtype fonts on 2 indesign font folder.  copied mt-extra font file mathtype folder , pasted indesign font folder.  nothing changed.  indesign still gives me blank box after copy mt-extra font mathtype -->illustrator-->indesign.   guess need instructions on how transfer of fonts done correctly.  i'v looked @ install fonts manual indesign, not clear me on how it.  need utility fontexplorer this, or there other way.  what's weird working fine until had reinstall osx , reinstall cs3, font trouble started.  need toggle "activate-reactivate' adobe cs3 , don't know how close 20 max on this, worried that.  (i suspect because of note on forum might necessary).  thoughts appreciated. i'm using windows, advice may worth nothing...   1) shouldn't have deactivate id recognize fonts. 2) design science gives fonts away in type 1 , truetype flavors....
