Time Stretch conundrum... HELP!

 

i want slow down section of music have,

so when select section , edit going through scenario;

effects->time , pitch->stretch->time stretch,

it works.

 

but then

 

the slowed down section of music editted,

writes on onto rest of music?? making life living hell after endless tries of rebooting, changing music file, trying again , again yet never succeeding?!?!?

 

anyways, dont understand im saying

basically

suppose song goes "do re mi fa sol la"

and want "do re mi" play slower (i.e. dooo reee miii)

 

so edit section(do re me) of music , works,

but on writes , messes next part of music should not effected wotsoever,

i.e.: "dooo reee miii la" 'fa sol' phrase sort of deleted , written on newly editted section?

 

wow explanation seems make whole thing less understandable anyways
