Has anyone been successful importing h.264 into Encore?

first, system , goal:

a macpro 2.66mhz dual core , 12 gigs of ram.

multi terrabytes of space.

i shoot on panasonic hvx-200, edit in final cut pro , output quicktime files basis rendering dvd , blu-ray. shot stuff in 1080i. camera codec dvcprohd , output also.

i trying burn blu-ray discs. have external pioneer bdr-203 blu-ray burner , works fine.

i have done tests , have decided blu-ray, h.264 far superior mpeg2 in , file size sticking it.

here issue (and have scoured forum area , found no 1 discussing or solving issue date):

i have made hundreds of different dvds dvdstudiopro , familiar it. not off on tangent beloved apple has decided betray me not supporting blu-ray (the way output hd independents) studied on encore , have been using format latest project hd. interface works pretty nice , has superiority dvdsp have have patience of job see results. 5 day (remember. that's 24 hour days) rendering tops far. (ok. full disclosure... documentary 3 hours , 15 minutes long dvdstudiopro took same quicktime files , crunched them down mpeg2 dvd in day) anyway 6 days ago had 3 day render session crapped out on me recording disc. reason didn't bd-re disc had in machine , bagged whole process. when put in new disc started rendering on again. after debacle gave on method , rendering bdmv folders burn disc using toast. (while writing fingers crossed make end - it's been 3 days...)

i provide details above show why more dismayed cannot figure way import h.264 files encore renderer. either compressor or encoder render faster encore. have tried render project variety of output types both apple's compressor , adobe's encoder no joy way try.

(as side note dismayed when made change menu, encore decided encode whole project again rather menu part...)

one of latest file testing adventures based on theory problem has dvcprohd recording 1280 x 1080 anamorphic rather 1440 x 1080 (the "expected" frame size 1080i). fooled half day not either renderer generate test material fcp output encore burn without re-rendering. mean cajoled , tricked compressor , encoder output 1920 x 1080 files; 1440 x 1080 files , 1280 x 1080 files (all h.264) see if encore recognize of them without re-rendering them. no luck.

so. has had success importing h.264 cs4encore anywhere (but particularly using same or similar gear using)? encore literature doesn't give go oon.

lately inclined think problem has 1280 x 1080 dvcprohd issue can't sure. offer suggestion if else similar production stream having same problem , maybe trip switch in mind solution.

i encore interface , design possibilities have swinging , forth pshop , after effects using encore's renderer chinese water torture.

thanks help.

first, observation or nota bene, want classify it: 1280x1080 not supported hd resolution blu-ray, means transcoded legal bd frame size before burned disc.

next, can provide more detail h.264 encodings (specifically, 1920x1080 , 1440x1080) - frame rates used, whether have muxed audio, etc?
