Welding torch stepper motor driven auto Height controller.
hello.
i've been looking possibility of arduino based automatic welding torch height controller. basics pretty simple. when welding if torch moves away work piece voltage welding power source creeps small amount & opposite happens when torch moves closer.
the target voltage around 40v dc not think can use simple circuit such divider monitor voltage accurately (the arduino must react changes of 0.1 of volt). think have make kind of op amp or similar circuit.
i know can done buying expensive controller & outputs or down command, cannot justify or afford 400 pounds on project automates can adjust manually.
i can manage motor response, well, should manage i've had problems measuring higher voltages accurately.
just wondered if knows way me on budget, have fair electronic knowledge.
