Thread: Problem Setting up Java JDK and Eclipse

hi, might overlooking obvious, can't seem eclipse detect java jdk installed through synaptic package manager (sun-java6-jdk):

:~$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_15"
java(tm) se runtime environment (build 1.6.0_15-b03)
java hotspot(tm) server vm (build 14.1-b02, mixed mode)
i obtained eclipse ide ubuntu software centre, , looks this:



understand it, there should java submenu in windows >> preferences lets me set java version eclipse use, in case, submenu isn't there @ all.

tips? thanks.

not sure how on this, but.. did following way:
downloaded eclispe official site
downloaded jdk official site (or jre?)
un-packed ,renamed "jdk"/ "jre" , pasted in eclipse folder.

after eclipse works perfectly.

tcp client

Can't read sms using Thinker A7 communicate with Arduino
