i professional photographer , lost 8 hours of editing work. totally nonplussed. i've used lr since came out , have been using ps years. have latest versions. so, have explanation this??   1. took 400 photos @ event. 2. sorted out 174 of them. marked them 5 stars. 3. did basic editing in lr. 4. few photos, editing them pscs4 , using "save" command, saved them "edited" files. files appeared in lr library "edited" psd files, should. 5. generated jpg files out of lr 174 files. 5. did other work , returned lr. 6. edited psd files no longer there , neither star selections. unedited raw files remained. 7. searched main hd , backups. changed files weren't there. 8. checked edited raw files, , none of changes there.   i ran file recovery program, diskwarrior , filesalvage. didn't find anything.   what can happening? should reinstall 2 programs? help!!!! have deliver photos close of business tomorrow!!!   thanks in advance.   marc oh, should know runni...

i'm trying multiple volume channels using multimedia keyboard buttons on laptop. i've tried using gconf-editor , editing desktop/gnome/sound/default_mixer_tracks include master , lfe tracks. worked when ran arch (i didn't have pulseaudio then). have edited /etc/pulse/default.pa , added code: load-module module-alsa-sink control=pcm line. can control either master, pcm, or lfe it, not more one. using "control=master,lfe" doesn't work. "control=master lfe" doesn't work. "control=[master,lfe]" doesn't work either. i'm out of ideas on how fix problem. right have controlling pcm because channel change entire volume @ moment, won't allow me mute.. pulseaudio bit crackly when changing volume , i'm not sure issue either. good morning all, i'm trying develop base station tracking different spot in house node sensors sleep of time , wake up, make readings (temp, humidity ecc.) , send them trough nrf24 base station within range. this station waken nrf24 (interrupt pin irq), writes data file on microsd , send data packet on server via gprs sim800l module. so far i've been doing test , seems work flawlessy on nodes i've experienced problems in receiving node. think related power supply problems (i had lot of trouble in running sim800l , solved adding 470uf cap before it). the whole system powered 4 18650 lipos in parallel charged solar panel , tp4056. got random reboot (and yes solved memory issues replacing serial.print f macro). weirdest thing system works 80% without solar panel , struggles lot panel. if replace 4 lipos 1s battery , solar panel works better still unstable , not reliable. now managed make run whole night , hasnt crashed yet hope give me hint. i'll let see code , ...

hey regularly move between mac , pc, thought idea put data on external drive. windows 7 , os x have similar home folder layouts, put folders need both on root of external drive , changed few settings home folder user on external drive on both windows , os x. whilst ubuntu has similar structure, cannot work out how have users home folder on external drive. have done little research , can find how have /home directory on partition. a) not i'm trying do, folder user , b) mean formatting external drive extx format, wouldn't work me. using 9.10 (or once upgrade complete) the safest leave /home is. separate partition idea, because can re-mount when re-install fresh, thereby retaining not data, settings well. can set default save path pretty somewhere else home, or set links place in home. don't know how latter, i'm sorry, i've read people doing it. ...
