hello guys, i'm looking @ options of problem dealing with. i've got few objects devices market when touched change colour , give out sound. plan add led strip 1 colour unless object touched , when sound goes off want led strips change colour till sound stops. on of object have aux output speaker. if add 3.5mm splitter there , add audio cable 1 of ends cut off. use red wire input arduino or pcb board + black common ground , use red input value. let when object touched have signal coming in , if = 1 ( sound on) arduino code changes led strip colour, when sound stops ( value goes 0) led strip changes standard colour. driving led strip not problem. problem how state of touch value arduino. question is, idea work. if not can suggest  in situation achieve want. thank much, appreciate every response. audio not digital. should consider working analog inputs, not digital inputs. analogread() function. i'm working project using esp8266 wifi-connected ir blaster replicating tv remote. @ point i'd release project wild, useful need support wide variety of different tvs (at least 1 configuration per manufacturer). with each remote having 20+ buttons, , i've tested far, each button produces 1 of 2 codes each time pressed, storing data in .c file under switch statement or series of #ifdef s has potential become wet mess potentially difficult add to. is there cleaner way write project kind of data? maybe read in .txt or .json file @ compile time, selected single variable manufacturer of tv? have considered store ir codes in eeprom (external if esp not have eeprom or insufficient space, else internal). i'm planning target board throwing ball against wall. first approach use piezo elements detect hits. second approach using velostat sheets detect pressure ball. second approach got me idea, nothing new, anyhow, couldn't quite find similar on forum. a stripe of velostat can detect pressure. used resistor, can act voltage divider: pressing velostat stripe cause voltage @ a0 drop. thought of replacing resistor stripe of velostat: pressing other stripe cause voltage @ a0 rise. sure 1 can add more strips same analog input a0, since we're talking velostat sensors, there problems accuracy. far have 2 stripes per analog input, should ok. @ startup, value @ a0 read , saved. then, when in action, 1 have care of voltage raise or voltage drop. it's accurate digital input. pressing on both stripes @ same time cause resistant drop in each stripe, cause voltage @ a0 to... well... unstable , unreliable. , in worst case total resistance drop , cause near shortcut between 5v , ...

running vista home premium 32-bit on hp slimline desktop w/ dual athlon 64's (2.6ghz, 2gb ram)... had success shrinking drive volume allocated vista using built-in management tools? i've read on , deduced main problem master file table written end of volume , can't moved defragmenters, despite fact have on 100 gb of 'free' dive space, can't create more 14.5 gb of unallocated space install ubuntu dual boot. i've read temporarily turning off system files pagefile system, can free more space gain not large compared amount of effort (or risk of error). i've read doing wipe , fresh install drive shrink move mft 50% of drive total volume each time. (i.e.- if once, new volume @ 50% of total, 2nd time 25%, 3rd time 12.5%, etc.) experienced/knowledgeable on 1 have advice other purchase more advanced defragmenter move mft? thanks. i'm new @ ubuntu , linux , not great @ technical thin...
