hi viktorfulop, welcome forum!

there 2 points check:

1. try eject virtual 'cd-rom' , port created
2. update ubuntu 9.10 using other internet connection (wifi/ethernet)

determine system activity modem:
- boot without card inserted
- terminal window: sudo dmesg -c (will show , clear log)
- insert card, wait 20-30 seconds
- terminal: dmesg (will show new activity)
- if notice 'cd-rom ... srx' try eject icon or using 'sudo eject srx'

post progress new ideas.

regards,
george
